Fiberglass foam cored rudder construction:
- All rudders are based on a solid core of foam, machined from a solid blank to shape. This method is
superior to traditional molding techniques because machining the core
allows an extremely strong blank to be produced, with a super accurate
shape.
- Cores receive fiberglass skins laid-up in Vinlyester
resin or Epoxy and are vacuum-bagged. The finish is catalyzed urethane over
two-part primer or an optional gel-coat finish.
- Caron-fiber skin is also available at an additional cost.
- These rudders include an all stainless internal post and web construction.
- A one year warranty is extended to the original boat owner. A three
year warranty is extended to the original boat owner with the Epoxy
Resin option.
| HDPE spade rudder construction:
- All rudders are CNC shaped and hand-faired to to produce the least amount of drag.
- IdaSailor rudders include an all stainless internal post and web
construction, encapsulated in a true NACA airfoil blade.
- Rudders
are balanced for reduced helm effort. The high-lift, low-drag foil
helps your boat to weather and increases speed off the wind.
Docking and tacking are easier and crisper, giving you more control of
your boat during low-speed maneuvers.
- The HDPE construction option eliminates water absorption and IdaSailor can cover rudders with a lifetime warranty.
